MCKEACHIE, Glenda (Frederick) – of Davison, age 88, passed away Monday, February 19, 2024 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM, Friday, February 23, 2024 at Flint First Wesleyan Church, 3825 Davison Road, Flint, MI 48506; Rev. Chad Amoss officiating. Interment will be in Davison Cemetery. The family will welcome visitors from 4-7 PM on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Friday at Flint First Wesleyan Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Flint First Wesleyan Church or Food Bank of Eastern Michigan, in Glenda's memory.
Glenda was born in Flint, MI on December 11, 1935, daughter of the late Wesley and Helen (Henson) Frederick. She married Laverne McKeachie on June 20, 1981 and he preceded her in death on March 20, 2010. Glenda was talented and showed it through painting and quilting. She was musically inclined, playing the hammered dulcimer and the organ for her grandchildren. Glenda was very active with her church, imitating Christ's love, showing it to all she met.
Glenda is survived by her daughter, Marcia Howell; step-daughter, Darlene Sprader; grandchildren, Lloyd (Dana) Wright, Martin (Tori) Wright, Carey (Nick) Comstock, Logan (Michelle) Sitze, Douglas (Hazel) Lowe, Duncan Lowe, David (Tammy) Lowe; 11 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; step-sisters, Kathleen (Garry) Alstott and Linda Murray; half-sister, Susie Merino; and many other loving family members and friends.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by daughter, Lisa A. Sitze; step-daughter, Doris McKeachie; step-son, Virgil McKeachie; son-in-law, Ed Howell and great-grandson, Alex Lowe.
