Glenda Rae McLucas, 70, of Hagerstown, Maryland, passed away peacefully at Doey's House. She was the wife of Steven Owen McLucas for 49 years.
Born on June 7, 1953, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late William Frederick Socks and Effie Mae Gossard Socks. Glenda was a graduate of South Hagerstown High School and Hagerstown Junior College. Devoted to her family, she dedicated her life to being a homemaker and mother. She was a member of the United Methodist Church. Glenda enjoyed the New York Yankees and Maryland Basketball but her true passion always led back to her family and being an incredible grandmother.
In addition, her husband Steven, she is survived by her son Brian McLucas and his wife Jennifer McLucas; granddaughter Kyla McLucas; brothers, Ronnie “Pickle” Socks and Dave Socks; sisters, Connie Perry, Alice Gettel and Claire Anne Buchanan.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Jean Langenstein, Sharon Schrock and Shirley Stephens; and brother, Robert Socks.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 15, 2024, from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Avenue, Hagerstown, MD 21742. The funeral service will be held on Friday, February 16, 2024, at 2pm. Interment will follow in the cemetery.
