Funeral Service for Mrs. Dianne Hill Moore, age 79 of Trussville, AL, will be Friday, December 5, 2025, at 1:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Alexander City. Bro. Russell Gooden will officiate. Burial will follow in the Alexander City Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 5, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Alexander City.

Mrs. Moore passed away on Monday, December 1, 2025, at St. Vincents East in Trussville, AL. She was born on July 29, 1946, in Alexander City, AL to Mr. Glen Marshall Hill and Mrs. Sadie Belle LaVenia McClellan Hill.

She graduated from BRHS in 1964. She then attended Jacksonville State University and in 1969 received a B.S. degree with a major in Home Economics. She later received an Elementary Degree and was certified in English also at Jacksonville State. Her 25 years of teaching include Quantity Food Service at Etowah Co. Vocational School, 3rd grade at Lineville Elementary School, 6th grade at Brantley High School and 13 years teaching Home Economics at Childersburg Middle School. While at Brantley and Childersburg, she was the Children's choir director.

After retirement she catered weddings and birthday parties for 10 years. She enjoyed making birthday cakes for her grandchildren and giving them cooking lessons.

At the time of her death, she was a member of the First Baptist Church Trussville and member of Mike Carter's Sunday School class.

She is survived by her daughter, Kristi (Darrell) Long and son Chad (Misty) Moore. Her grandchildren, Logan Long, Webber Long, Hopkins Long, Jonathan Moore, Sara Moore, David Moore, Jacob Moore; sister Beverly Waldrop and many cousins, nephews and nieces.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John Oddest Moore, her parents and brother-in-law, Bobby Waldrop.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Alexander City or to the First Baptist Church of Trussville for youth ministries.
