Glenda Mary Mysak, 81, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at Linn Manor Care Center in Marion, Iowa. The family will greet friends from 4 - 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion, Iowa. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 25, 2025, at St. Isidore Catholic Church in Springville, Iowa. Burial will follow at Springville Cemetery.
Glenda was born on January 16, 1944, in Aledo, Illinois, the daughter of Glen and Marian (Anderson) Fisher. On March 21, 1959, Glenda was united in marriage to Everett Mysak in Iowa City, Iowa, and three sons were born to this union. She worked various jobs including Turner Microphone, Collins Radio, and driving a bus for Springville schools for many years, along with raising her family. She was a member of the St. Isidore Catholic Church in Springville. Glenda took great pride in tending to her flower gardens and maintaining a pristine yard. She had a big, gracious heart which she showed by caring for everyone around her. Together, with her husband, they enjoyed completing woodworking projects. Her friends and family will remember her for her outstanding cooking skills, as well as many memorable camping trips. Glenda will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Glenda is survived and lovingly remembered by her husband, Everett Mysak of Cedar Rapids; children, William (Linda) Mysak of Mechanicsville, Iowa, Scott (Barb) Mysak of Springville, and Rick (Carrie) Mysak of South Dakota; 14 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson; two sisters; and five brothers.
Memorials in Glenda’s memory may be directed to St. Croix Hospice and St. Isidore Catholic Church.
