Glenda Lorice Ybarra

Glenda Lorice Ybarra, age 81, of Dallas, Texas passed away on January 7, 2025, in Mesquite, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Adolph "Yogi" Ybarra, with whom she shared a deep and lasting love and a grandson, Carlos Rodriguez.

She is survived by her sons Ricky Ybarra and wife Mary Ann, Michael Ybarra and wife Lyz and by her daughter, Vickey Ybarra. Glenda was the proud grandmother of eight grandchildren, including Amanda Ybarra, Christopher Benavides, Sr., Jennifer Lavender, Richard Ybarra, Tina Vasquez, Nicholas and Stephen Ybarra. She was also a cherished great-grandmother to fifteen great-grandchildren, including Catalina, Claudia and Christopher, Jr., Benavides, Alyssia, Julia and Halie Lavender, Oksana, Augustine, Liev and Ilya Ybarra, Hailey, Juliana and Camila Vasquez, Izaiah Ybarra and Izabella Garcia whom all brought her immense joy.

Glenda was known for her the deep love she had for her family. She enjoyed fishing, her many dogs, and had a passion for horse racing. One of her greatest joys was cooking holiday meals, creating traditions that brought her family together year after year.

What made Glenda truly special was the love and faith she shared so freely. She cared for everyone and never turned anyone away. Her home and her heart were always open, offering comfort, warmth, and acceptance to all who entered her life.

Glenda lived her life anchored in faith and trust in the Lord. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her kindness, devotion, and the legacy of love she leaves behind. As we are reminded in Scripture:

"The Lord is my shepherd; there is nothing I shall want. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are at my side." - Psalm 23
