Glenn E. Bailey
Age 85, of Canton, passed away Thursday, Sept. 5, 2024. He was born Sept. 11, 1938 in Canton, a son of the late Dale and Margaret (Vegh) Bailey, and was a life resident. Glenn was a 1956 graduate of Lehman High School. He was retired from Dominion (East Ohio) Gas Co. after 36 years, where he worked in the service department. Glenn was a member of the Lehman Alumni Association, the HOF Luncheon Club, and the McKinley Eagles. He honorably served in the U. S. Navy.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Susan L. Bailey, on March 4, 2007. Glenn is survived by one daughter and two sons, Lisa ((Thomas) Haswell, David (Deborah) Bailey, and Steven (Colleen) Bailey; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, Ashten (Clayton) Busby, and their children, Zane and Tate, Trent (Alison) Haswell, and their children, Claire and Lucas, Greer Bailey, Mason (fiancee' Sydney Burch) Bailey, McLane Bailey, Sutton Bailey, Logan Bailey, and Kate Bailey; one brother, Jerry (Mary) Bailey.
Services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Smith, Celebrant, officiating. Friends may call Thursday 10-11 a.m. before the service. Interment will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Glenn's memory may be made to McKinley Eagles, for Youth Golf.
