In Loving Memory of Reverend Glenn Bearss
We announce his heavenly homecoming, March 17, 2024. Glenn was a dedicated pastor who faithfully served the Lord over a span of 40 years. Upon retirement from pastoring, he continued in ministry as chaplain for Heartland Hospice in the Freemont and Traverse City areas.
Glenn’s strong faith in the Lord guided every aspect of his life, shaping him into a man who loved deeply and served selflessly. His dedication to his congregations never wavered. It was not uncommon for Glenn to offer care, comfort and support regardless of the hour. Known for his humility and peaceful demeanor, Glenn touched the lives of many. In his selfless ways he served in the US Army Reserves for years.
Glenn enjoyed God’s creation, especially fishing, hunting, and going for walks.
Glenn loved his family dearly and prayed daily for each family member by name. He is survived by his wife, Audrey of 54 years, brother Jim Bearss of Charlevoix, his children Peggy (Craig) Vincent of Weston, WI, Brenda (Anthony) Ferriell of Yale, MI, Michael (Erin) Bearss of Boise, ID, Marcus (Marcey) Bearss of Amarillo, TX, grandchildren Randy (Karena) Dylon, Reyna, Robyn, Andrew (Dariann) Jonathan, Breanna, Kenadi, Peyton, great grandchildren Roland, Ogden, Lincoln, Eli, Neal and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter Renee Beamer, brother Bob Bearss and first wife Jean (McDonald) Bearss.
While we mourn his loss, we take comfort in knowing that he is finally home in the Presence of HIS Lord & Savior.
