Glenn Allen Detgen was called home to his Lord September 28, 2024, with his family by his side. He was 90 years old.
Glenn was born on September 6, 1934 in Port Hope Michigan and was the son of Henry and Tressa (Arntz) Detgen. On January 14, 1956 Glenn married the love of his life, Nancy Badgley. Together they celebrated 57 beautiful years before Nancy’s passing in March 2013. Glenn worked for Buick from February 27, 1953 until he retired April 30, 1992. Glenn and Nancy lived in Harbor Beach before moving to Flint, and finally settling in Millington in 1969. Together they raised four children, Susan, Glenda, Danny, and Judy. Glenn has eight grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren. Glenn enjoyed spending time camping, playing cards with his family and loved cutting wood with his son and spending time in his garden. He also enjoyed keeping his lawn mowed, just ask his neighbors!
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Nancy, and daughter Susan along with several siblings and John Arnold.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Glenda Cunningham, Dan (Marion) Detgen, and Judy (Tom) Warner, grandchildren, Matt & Annette Cunningham, Jessica & Chris Beringer, Sarah Cunningham, Christina & Chad Church, Ryan Detgen, Jenna Warner, Melissa & Jordan Englehart, and Tyler & Lindsey Warner.
