Jack L. Detgen, age 83 of Millington, died Sunday, March 29, 2026 at Maplewoods Manor. Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no services at this time.
Jack was born in Harbor Beach, MI on January 2, 1943 to Henry and Tressie Detgen. He married Janet Laederon October 12, 1963. He retired from Buick City, where he worked as a welder. Jack enjoyed golfing with his grandkids and great grandkids. His true passion was raising and caring for his horses and participating in harness racing.
He is survived by his wife, Janet; children: Debra (Glenn) Vollweiler, Duane (Julie) Detgen, Cindy (James) Griswold, Brian (Sarah) Detgen, and Jennifer (Ryan) Ralls; grandchildren: Brooke, Corey, Brandon, Amanda, Jacob, Calib, Travis, Trevor, Justin, Nathan, Reece, Quinn, Zach and Emma; great grandchildren: Owen, Trenton, Jackson, Landon, Elaina, Adeline, Connor, and Liam.
