VASSAR - Cynthia “Cindy” Georgia Smith-Hallett went home to be with Jesus on March 19, 2026, at the age of 71. Born on July 6, 1954, in Pontiac, Michigan, Cindy was a devoted wife and a very special aunt and friend who brought warmth and kindness to everyone she met.
Cindy worked in the technology industry for over 45 years. For the past five years, she dedicated those skills to serving the Lord and her church by managing the bookkeeping and music departments. She was passionate about her vegetable and flower gardens and was an avid quilter who shared her beautiful work as gifts. In her younger years, she loved traveling the world, which remained a highlight of family conversations. She also enjoyed cooking and baking using her mother’s and grandmother’s recipes.
Cindy deeply loved her family and cherished their time together. She joined her father, Ebb; her mother, Loretta; her sisters, Wanda (Larry) Slater and Sandra O’Connor; and a niece and nephew in heaven. She is survived by Gary, her husband of 26 years; three nieces; many great and great-great nieces and nephews; and her dear lifelong friend, Janis.
Kindly share a memory with Cindy's family in the guestbook below.
Cindy and her family are in the care of Hanlin Funeral Home - Millington. Address: 4823 Main Street, Millington, MI 48746. Phone (989) 871-4591.
