Glenn Essler Obituary
Glenn lived most of his life in the Nunda area and spent the last 15 years living in Owego NY. He retired from the Norfolk Southern Railroad and was the definition of - work hard, play harder. Glenn truly enjoyed being outdoors, working with his hands, hunting, refinishing antiques, and spending time on the water. He preferred listening to music while doing any activity. He also cherished playing Santa Clause for underprivileged children. Most importantly, he loved spending time laughing with friends and family. His grandchildren were simply his pride and joy. Glenn was genuine, caring, and fun-loving. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all that knew him.
Glenn is survived by his wife Karen, his children; Dane Essler (Scott Luce), Damon and Sara Essler, Brooke and Brett Vesico, his grandchildren; Camden & Hadley Essler, Broen & Bohannon Vesico, his sister; Cheryl May (Steven), his nieces; Tiffany Moulton (Wayne), and Capri Constantino (Mike), mother in-law; Jean Guy (Jim), brother in-laws; Mike Bogardus (Debbie), and Kevin Bogardus (Donna).
Predeceased by his parents; David and Barb Essler, his father in-law; Clarence Bogardus.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Boys and Girls Club of Owego or the Nunda Fire Department.

Our heartfelt condolences and prayers sent to Glenn's family. We remember fondly of seeing and working with Glen on the Tioga Scenic Railroad along with his family. He always had a big smile and a heart of gold. My daughters Kristy and Samantha loved working with him on the train .
