Glenn Alan Estes

Blanchard, LA - Glenn Alan Estes, 66 years old, passed away and went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 30, 2021.
Glenn was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, Uncle, and friend to many. Glenn is survived by his wife of 43 years, Linda Anderson Estes; his daughters Dianna Estes Ralph and Brandy Leigh Estes; his granddaughters, Paige Michel Thomsen, Courtney Michel Thomsen, Michelle Krutza, Rylie Elizabeth Hadel, and Hannah Leigh Estes; his grandson Landon Trace Wynne, his great-grandson, John Luke Garrett; his brother Douglas Wayne Estes, and sister Joan Elaine Estes and many other family members and friends including his father-in-law and mother-in-law Richard and Wilma Anderson, his two brothers-in-law Eric and Lance Anderson and spouses and sister-in-law Shawn Miller Shelton who all regarded him as a son and brother.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Myrtle Marie Estes and father, Howard Russell Estes and his daughter, Carrie Estes Hadel.
Glenn was born in Port Arthur, Texas but was a resident of Blanchard, LA for 30 years. Everyone he met regarded him fondly and remembers him as a great man, mentor, good friend, fishing partner, good father, good husband, and hard worker. He worked for Integrated Power Services - Shreveport (formerly Reliance Electric) for 30 years as a mechanic, shop foreman, customer service and salesman. He retired in 2020. Glenn was full of joy and always made others laugh and feel at home in his presence; rosy-cheeked and tears of laughter as he laughed with them. Glenn could make you forget all your troubles and turn any stressful situation into a light-hearted one; through his level-headedness, good advice and humor, the solution would suddenly be right in front of you.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at 10:00 AM with a service at 11:00 AM at Osborn Funeral Home in Shreveport. Burial immediately to follow at Forest Park Cemetery-West at 4000 Meriwether Road in Shreveport, LA.
