Glenn Halbur, 70 of Denison, and formerly of Halbur, died Monday, November 17, 2025 at Creighton University – Bergan Mercy Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Saturday, November 22, 2025 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Halbur. The Celebrant will be Fr. Terry Roder. Music will be by Julie Sibbel and the St. Augustine Choir. Lector for the Funeral Mass will be Linda Halbur. Gift Bearers will be Glenn's nieces and nephews. Eucharistic Minister will be Lois Dentlinger. Burial will be in St. Augustine Cemetery in Halbur with military honors conducted by the Arcadia American Legion.

A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Friday at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll with a Christian Wake Service at 7 p.m. Additional visitation will be from 9-9:45 a.m. on Saturday at the church. Memorials may be left at the funeral home or the church for a later designation.

Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll and online condolences may be left for Glenn's family at www.sharpfuneral.com.

Glenn, son of Vincent and Gladys (Dentlinger) Halbur, was born November 28, 1954, in Carroll, Iowa. He attended St Augustine Catholic School in Halbur, followed by Kuemper Catholic High School, graduating in 1973. Glenn enlisted in the United States Navy where he served from 1974-1977 until his honorable discharge. Glenn worked various jobs over the years, retiring from WESCO Industries in 2016 after 13 years of service.

Glenn had many interests over the years including hunting, fishing and bowling. He enjoyed a good game of cards or bingo, eating out with family, watching old westerns and sci-fi movies, and spending time with his siblings, nieces and nephews.

Glenn is survived by his brothers: Tom (Nancy) Halbur of Custer, SD, Ron (Maureen) Halbur of Manning, Vic (Jamie) Halbur of Alden: his sisters: Jane Halbur of Sugar Grove, IL, Judy Halbur of Des Moines, Carol (Jack) Grones of Elk River, MN: 10 nieces and nephews, 16 grandnieces and grandnephews and 4 great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Mary, Marie, Diane and a brother Vincent Jr. in infancy.
