Glenn Thomas Jackson

Glenn Thomas Jackson was born at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, NJ on August 17, 1951, to Mary Hodge Jackson and John C. Jackson. He departed this life on August 10, 2023 after a short battle of pancreatic cancer.
Glenn was a lifelong resident of the Shore Area and attended St. Rose school system in Belmar, NJ, Class of 1969. He went on to The University of Akron, Akron Ohio where he studied Bachelor of Science in Industrial Management. Glenn worked for Chanel for many years leaving to work for The State of New Jersey Department of Children and Families (IT) department for 17 years retiring in February 1, 2023.
Glenn was a family man who loved all of his family. He enjoyed long weekend drive to Albany to watch his godson's ballgames and spend time with his best friend Mike Cunningham's family. His passion includes playing tennis, bowling, 5K running, bicycling, playing Xbox video games, traveling, and running on the boardwalk. He's a big Yankee fan and Colts. He loved going to concerts and was an avid fan of Chicago, Earth Wind & Fire and The Doobie Brothers.
He met Dolores "Dolly" Medrano in 2005 at Ocean County tennis court in Lakewood, NJ. And they married in 2010.
Glenn is predeceased by his mother and father John C. Jackson and Mary Hodge Jackson his sister Candace M. Jackson, his maternal grandparents Thomas and Mary Francis Hodge, his paternal grandparents Andrew B Jackson and Sadie Twyne Jackson.
He is survived by his loving wife Dolores "Dolly" Medrano Jackson, his goddaughter Keri Johnson- Strong, his godson Jared Cunningham, maternal 1st cousin Jan L. Scott, paternal 1st cousins Ann Davis Thomas, Elizabeth Morgan, Catherine "Penny" Myres, Rosalind Diane Cummings, Stephen "Tony" Budd, and Craig E. Jackson, close relatives Michelle Pontoriero, Melissa Cummings, Larry and Cynthia DeVera, LaQuesha Green.
Visitation will be on Friday, August 18, 2023 from 3:00PM to 7:00PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 19th, 2023 10:00am at Holy Innocents Roman Catholic Church in Neptune, NJ.
Burial will follow at Monmouth Memorial Park
