Glenn Carl Meyer was born in Bay City, Michigan on January 20, 1950 to the late Carl and Arlene (Pfund) Meyer and was a lifetime resident of Munger. He passed away on February 14, 2026 at his home after a four-year battle with cancer.

Glenn was a farmer with Carl A. Meyer & Sons Farms and also was the owner of Meyer Farm Trucking. He also enjoyed his work as a Crop Insurance Adjuster. He was a member of Trinity St. James Lutheran Church. He served in the Army National Guard for 6 six years. Glenn was a volunteer in the Merritt Township Fire Department and a member of the Merritt Twp. Fire Department Corporation. Other memberships include AmVets Post 22 and Moose Lodge No. 169.

Surviving family include his wife, the former Jody Markillie whom he married November 8, 1969. He also leaves his children: Christopher Meyer, Kimberly (Jeremy) Kiley and Bradley (Erica) Meyer, his grandchildren: Jorja, Kamryn and Jaxon Kiley and Joanna and Gladys Meyer, his siblings: Gary Meyer, Carlene (Bill) DuRussel, Gene Meyer and Kayleen (Rev. Daniel) Hester and a sister-in-law Dorothy (John) Kolhoff, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a nephew Curt Meyer, in-laws Rose Meyer, Neal and Grace Markillie, Doug and Marion Markillie, Don Markillie and Ellen and Tom Wallis.

Glenn loved to talk to people and tell stories. He enjoyed watching old westerns on TV as well as watching University of Michigan sports and the Detroit Tigers. He had many interests which included playing cards with family and friends, golfing, bowling, deer hunting, gardening with the grandchildren as well as watching their sports games. Glenn was blessed with many neighbors and friends who looked out for him. He always enjoyed "Cousins" day and looked forward to family reunions.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026 at 11 a.m. at Trinity St. James Lutheran Church. The Rev. Jimmy K. Riley and the Rev Ed Meyer will officiate. Visiting hours will be Thursday, February 19, 2026 from 2 to 8 p.m. at Penzien Steele Funeral Home and on Friday at the church from 10 a.m. until the service begins. Those desiring to may make a memorial contribution are asked to consider the wishes of the family.

The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Palmbos and staff at the University of Michigan Hospital and the staff of Wellspring Lutheran Hospice for their loving care of Glenn and his family.
