Glenn Arden Moore Jr.,82, of Whitesboro, Texas was called home to a glorious reunion in heaven on Monday, April 14, 2025, surrounded by his family.

Glenn was born on September 15, 1942 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Glenn Arden and Gladys Audra (Knight) Moore. He was a graduate of Gainesville High School and North Texas University. Glenn married Judithe Darlene Suddath on August 31, 1963 after a whirlwind courtship. Glenn worked as an educator with Irving and Pottsboro High Schools, he also worked as the City Manager for Farmer's Branch and Sherman. He was a member and a Deacon with First Baptist Church of Whitesboro, where he attended with his family for many years and served the church on many different committees. Glenn loved music and had a beautiful singing voice; he and the family spent a lot of time in song and laughter and the Moore family had a wonderful tradition of caroling around Gainesville during the Christmas season. Glenn along with Darlene had a love for Jesus and were fierce about sharing their faith in the Lord with others. He loved old cars, watching his beloved westerns, taking naps, reading, all things Ernie, and playing dominoes with his friends. Glenn was a loving husband, father, and Pepo, he cherished each and everyone of his family members and was immensely proud of each one.

He is survived by his daughter, Leslie White and husband, Brandon of Collinsville; son, Jeffrey Moore and wife, Julie of Wichita, KS; daughter-in-law, Julie Moore of Euless; grandchildren, Kaly Knight and husband, Ben, Kristyn Stane and husband, Justin, Bethany Anderson, Megan Moore, Jonathan Moore and wife, Cathy, Jamie Clark and husband, Haden, Joshua Moore and wife, Zoe Anna, Amanda Hickingbottom and husband, Tyler, Jenica Moore, and Jordyn Moore. great-grandchildren, Elam, Arrie, Harvie, Anderson, Hazel, Elliana and Eleanor, sisters-in-law, June West and Patsy Moore, cousin, Janie Hunter and husband Paul, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.

Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Audra Moore, his wife of 60 years, Darlene Moore, brother, Jim Moore, son, Glenn Moore III, great-granddaughter, Ayla Grace Knight, son-in-law, David Anderson, brother-in-law, Chigger Suddath, and sister-in-law, Shirley Strong.

Funeral services honoring Glenn will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, April 21, 2025 at First Baptist Church of Whitesboro, officiated by Rev. Rick Carney and Rev. Mike Flanagan. A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, April 20, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro.
