Son of Harry and Jetta Moore. He was raised on the Family Farm located north of Larkinburg, Kansas.

He graduated from Holton High School in 1957 and then attended Kansas State University earning a BS degree in Education in 1961. He was a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity.

Following graduation he taught school in San Diego, California before Joining the United State Marion Corps in 1962, where he was commissioned a 2nd Lt. in May of 1962. He Was assigned to the First Marine Air Wing in Japan. He stayed in the Marine Corps reserves after active service and reached the rank of Major. After leaving the Marine Corp he attended Washburn Law School where he was a member of Phi Alpha Delta law fraternity. After graduating from Law school, he was admitted to the Kansas Bar in 1968. Bryce was appointed the Director of the Kansas Division of Workers Compensation in 1971 and served in that position until 1984. As Director he executed the major revision to the Kansas Workers' Compensation program resulting in major improvement of benefits for injured workers. He served as appeal judge for the Division and wrote 3 Law Journal articles on Workers' Compensation and was co-author of the Kansas Worker’s Compensation Manual.

Mr. Moore was active in the Kansas Democratic Party and served several terms as president of the Shawnee County Young Democrats.

Hearings Attorney for the Travelers Insurance Company from 1985 to his retirement in 2006.

After retirement Mr. Moore did volunteer work at St. Luke's hospital and as a tutor in the Johnson County GED program. He served as vice president of the Senior Arts Council where he enjoyed painting and coordinating various art exhibits around Johnson County Kansas.

Bryce is preceded in death by his brother, Jarry Moore, and Sister, Nancy Schirmer. Surviving siblings, Sam Moore, Becky Stauffer, and Marion Moore

Burial ceremony will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, November 1st, 2025, at the Larkinburg Cemetery located just north on Allen Road. Reception at the Larkinburg Christian Church (HWY. 116 and Allen Road).
