Beverly Ann (Pendleton) Daily passed away July 30 at Aldersgate Village in Topeka, Kansas. She was born in McFarland KS on August 15, 1933, to Wallace and Dorothy (Holmes) Pendleton. She was proud of attending a one room schoolhouse in Valencia, Kansas. Beverly's father worked for the Rock Island Railroad which caused the family to move frequently. They lived in Iowa, Missouri, then moved to Kansas. Beverly attended Seaman High School and graduated from Holton High School. Beverly liked to tell the story of meeting her future husband, Harold. She and a friend were visiting after school in Holton, Kansas. Harold pulled up in his car to talk with them. Beverly and her friend wrote "Just Married" all over his car in the layer of dust. He was not happy with this and went to wash his car. They were married 11 months later, on September 13, 1952, and were happily married for 65 years. Beverly and Harold lived in Holton briefly before moving to Topeka in 1952. They had a son, Gary, in 1953 and a daughter, Gayla, in 1956. Beverly was very involved in her children's activities, serving as a Cub Scout and Boy Scout den mother and a Blue Bird, Campfire leader. Beverly enjoyed working retail and was employed at Jayhawk Drug Store, Brookwood Card Shop, and for many years in cosmetics and jewelry at Pellitier's Holiday Square Department store. She had many hobbies including quilting, antiquing/collecting, home decorating, jewelry making, ceramics and oil painting. After retiring, Beverly volunteered with Harold at Door Step and Let's Help for more than 18 years where they were awarded Volunteer of the Year awards. Beverly's children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were a great joy in her life, along with many friends and extended family. She and Harold were long-time members of Countryside United Methodist Church. Beverly's parents, Dorothy and Wallace Pendleton, her brother, Carl Pendleton and husband, Harold Gene Daily preceded her in death. Survivors include son, Gary G. (Claudia) Daily of Topeka; daughter, Gayla A. (Mike) Noel of Overland Park; grandchildren, Joseph Noel (Sarah Aschim) of Port Angeles, WA, Kyle Daily of Topeka, Thomas Noel of Overland Park and Hannah Saenz (Lee) of Mobile, AL; great-grandchildren, Kerian Daily of Topeka, Remy Saenz and Ronan Saenz of Mobile, AL. The family is very grateful to those who provided care to Beverly. She was at Aldersgate Assisted Living facilities for several years. Everyone was so kind and helpful to her. They shared many stories about her funny and mischievous spirit with family during the last weeks of her life. Beverly also received great care from Interim Hospice. Family will greet friends from 1 until 2 p.m.at Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801 SW Urish Road, Topeka KS 66614, where the Funeral Service will follow at 2 p.m. Burial will be in West Lawn Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Aldersgate Village or Let's Help and sent in care of the funeral home.

Bev & Harold were cherished neighbors on Wanamaker for 12 years back when my girls were growing up. Bev was always there to help in any way, whether it was to babysit or teach me how to wallpaper. Her 30-Day Fruitcake recipe has become one of our own family traditions. My girls and I have many sweet memories of Bev´s nurturing ways. Heartfelt condolences to Bev´s family. We will never forget her.
