Mrs. Moore was born in Roundaway, MS, which is south of Clarksdale. She graduated from Clarksdale High School. She married William R. Moore, and they moved to Greenville in 1957. Mrs. Moore was the office manager for several years at Delta Village Mobile Home Park. She was a member of Clarksdale Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James O. Hitchcock and Margaret Woofe Hitchcock, her husband, William, in 1995, her son, Scott Moore, in 2005, and a brother, Alton Hitchcock.
She is survived by a sister, Beverly Hitchcock, and a brother, Malcolm Hitchcock.
