In loving memory of Glenn A. Powers (Critter) - October 15, 1949 – July 28th, 2025. With profound joy and gratitude, we celebrate the life of Glenn A. Powers, a beacon of love, strength, and devotion. At 75, surrounded by family, he peacefully transitioned after a courageous battle with prostate cancer.

Born in Ellensburg, Washington, on October 15, 1949, to Stanley and Lorraine (Chic) Powers, Glenn's life was a testament to loyalty, family, and adventure. Growing up with siblings, Michael, Lucky, Patricia, Terry, and Mary, Glenn's childhood was filled with laughter and cherished moments.

After graduating from Ellensburg High School, in 1968, and attending Central Washington University, Glenn proudly served eight years in the Army National Guard, embodying patriotism and duty. His 54-year journey with the love of his life, Beverly Laws, whom he married on August 7, 1971, was a masterpiece of love, built on devotion, trust, and joy. Together, they nurtured two children, Stanley Jason Powers, and Amanda Michael Powers/Walker, who brought immense pride and happiness to his life.

An outdoors enthusiast, Glenn found solace in crabbing and fishing, often sharing these experiences with his loved ones. His travels across the country with Beverly created lifelong memories. A sports aficionado, Glenn delighted in cheering on his family and watching NFL football. His passion for Cribbage was only matched by his joy in proclaiming victory.

With a remarkable 40-year dedication to Schaake Packing Company and Washington Beef, Glenn retired in 2017, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and loyalty.

Glenn leaves behind his loving wife, Beverly, son, Stanley Jason Powers and Michele, with granddaughters, Hanna, Haven, Hailee, and great-granddaughter, Haelyn, daughter, Amanda Michael Powers/Walker and Rollie, with grandchildren, Isaiah, Jeremiah (Brooke), Jayden, Layla, Mollie, Aden (Yahira), and great-grandchild, Rollie John. Also surviving are his sister, Mary (Brad), brother, Terry (Lynda), and numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Preceding him in death were his parents, Stanley and Lorraine Powers, and siblings, Mike, Lucky, and Patricia Marx.

The Powers family extends heartfelt thanks to all who have offered support and shared memories.

A celebration of Glenn's extraordinary life will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 11:00am, at Cascade Gardens, in Yakima, WA, where family and friends are invited to gather to honor his legacy and share stories of his impact.
