Glenn Arthur Rolbiecki, 93, of Brea, CA passed away peacefully surrounded by family on July
12, 2025.
Visitation will be held from 8:30 to 9:15 a.m. at Memory Garden in Brea on July 26. There will
be a funeral mass held in his honor at 10:00 a.m., also on July 26, at St. Angela Merici
Catholic Church in Brea. Following the service, he will be laid to rest at Memory Garden
alongside his wife, Jan.
Glenn was born in Winona, Minnesota on November 19, 1931. Shortly after completing high
school, he enlisted in the Navy and served during the Korean War. When he discharged, he
settled in California. He went to work for Jerseymaid Dairies at their milk plant in Los Angeles.
This is where he met Janice Fischer. They married on March 9, 1957. At the time of her death
in January 2022, they had been married for just short of 65 years. He was a hard worker who
advanced into a truck driving position with Jerseymaid, and he stayed there, as the company
was eventually bought out by Vons. He retired after 44 years in the grocery industry. He
always had a story about a store he delivered to, or route he had driven.
Glenn was a devoted husband and father. He and Janice raised their six children in Brea, CA,
where he still resided at the time of his death. In his younger adult years, he volunteered as a
Boy Scout leader, softball coach and Eucharistic Minister. An avid bike rider throughout his life,
even up until seven months ago, he could still be spotted riding his recumbent E-bike around
town. He loved the Brea Tracks Trail and the Santa Ana River Trail. When he wasn't bike
riding, he enjoyed wood carving, a hobby he started after his retirement in 2000. Glenn was
president of his local wood carving club, where he competed in shows throughout Southern
California. He and Jan enjoyed many weekends with their camping club, and also taking their
trailer out on the road, visiting friends and family along the way. When Jan developed
dementia, he cared for her and was by her side until the end of her life.
Glenn is survived by his children Dan Rolbiecki, Patsy Pannell and her husband Steve, Mona
Stebbing and her husband Jim, Fran Rolbiecki, Glenn Rolbiecki and his wife Jeanette, and
Nancy Charland and her husband Bob. Glenn is also survived by his twenty-two grandchildren
and thirty-four great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death, not only by Janice, but by his mother Stella Mae, his brother Charles,
and his sister Annabelle.
Special thanks to Dan Rolbiecki for caring for his father for the last three months of his life, and
also special thanks to Constantin and Violetta of Comfort Keepers in Brea, for stepping in and
helping Glenn on his final few days.
