Spud graduated from River Valley High School in 1982 and the following year he made the decision to go to Southwest Tec to graduate with a butchers degree. Spud enjoyed the outdoors; fishing, hunting, trap shooting and going to all River Valley events especially to watch his boys play sports. He enjoyed driving around stopping and checking on people and telling goofy stories, many of those stops included the Buckridge's shop. Spud enjoyed cooking steaks at the Arena VFW the second Saturday of the month. He also was a longtime member of the Arena Fire Department. Spud married the love of his life, Tammy Cutler on December 17, 1982 in Linden, WI.
Survivors include his wife, Tammy Rose, a daughter, Angela Frank, two sons, Lawrence (Jennifer) and Jaydon Rose, grandchildren, Zoey Alt, Griffin "Skinny" Powers, Braxton Kiely, Phoenix Powers, Kingston Kiely, Case Rose, his mother, Ada Rose, a son-in-law, Deano Powers, four siblings, Duane (Janeen) Rose, Walter Rose and Debbie Lockman, Anita (Tony) Moore, Charlyne (Kirk) Sinnett, his father-in-law, Stan (Lynda) Cutler, brother-in-law, Tommy (Vivian) Cutler, step brother-in-law, Tracey Emberson, two step-sisters-in-law, Tawna Howale-Dickey and Jerry, Juli (Mike) Nohns, many nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald "Bubba" Rose, a son, Jamie Rose, his mother-in-law, Donna Cutler, a sister-in-law, Jamie Cutler and a step brother-in-law, Jerry.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at the Richardson-Stafford Funeral Home in Spring Green with burial in the Arena Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 3, 2023 at the funeral home from 4:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. and again on Saturday from 10:00 A.M,. until the time of service at 11:00 A.M. The Rose family would like to thank Chris, Bobo and Arlena for all that you have done. Online condolences available at www.staffordfuneralhomes.com. The Richardson-Stafford Funeral Home in Spring Green is assisting the family with the arrangements.
