Glenn Stubits Obituary
Glenn Stubits "Mr. Glenn", age 74, of Sanford, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at his home.
He was born in Northampton, Pennsylvania to the late Stephen L. Stubits and Marie Stubits. Glenn served in the US Army as 118th military police co. Glenn was retired from Allied Fibers. In his retirement, his passion was serving others. He served as a volunteer with Northview Fire Department, Secretary of Sanford Lions Club, member of Lemon Springs Ruritan Club, Bread Basket volunteer, member and Elder at Journey Church of Sanford; member of planning committee for Relay For Life and was currently working at Lee County PTO Thrift Store.
Glenn is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Crystal, and their 11 year old fur baby "Taco" of the home; daughter Stephanie Oglesbee, grandchildren, Christopher Doby and fiancé (Delaina), Nathan Doby and Jolie Oglesbee, all of Sanford; sister, Jacqueline Parker (Robert) of Pennsylvania; great-grandchildren, Scarlett and Carson Doby; mother-in-law Judy Painter, sister-in-law, Denise Wood (Mike); brother-in-law, Shane Painter (Sandra); numerous special nieces and nephews; Faye, mother of daughter; close friends who are like family(framily), Billy and Connie Sercy, Mark and Sandy Perkins, Josh, Brittany and Lola Conklin, Edward Angel; his church family, and many special family and friends in NC and PA.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at 11:30 AM at Journey Church of Sanford 2901 Beechtree Drive Sanford, NC 27330, with Pastor Josh Conklin and Pastor Allen Boggs officiating. Visitation and a time of fellowship will follow at the Lions Club Fairground. Please feel free to write a personal memory to share with his family. A basket will be provided to collect these memoires at the service.
