With deep sorrow and overwhelming love, we announce the passing of Teddy Tedder, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, who left us on Tuesday, August 5th, 2025, at the age of 66. Born on Saturday, August 30th, 1958, in Blakely, Georgia, where Teddy remained a resident.
Teddy was the proud owner of Tedder Painting, Inc., where he dedicated his time to building a strong foundation for his family.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 32 years, Teresa Lynn Tedder, who stood by his side through life's many ups and downs. Together, they built a loving family, including their children: Krystle Cline (Conner) of Santa Rosa Beach, FL; Ashley Poole (Keith) of Blakely, GA; Abby Howard (Greg) of Shellman, GA; and Benjamin Tedder (Maryssa) of Blakely, GA. Teddy was a proud grandfather to ten grandchildren and a great-grandfather to one.
Teddy is also survived by his siblings, Nicky Tedder (Sandra) of Blakely, GA, and Ginger McNab of Glendale, AZ. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Theodore Tedder and Sara Jane Tedder, his daughter Alexandra Leighann Tedder, and his sister Lynda Dianne Howard.
Teddy was a member of Colomokee Baptist Church, where his funeral service will be held on Friday, August 8th, 2025, at 11:00 am. Visitation will take place at the church from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, prior to the service. He will be laid to rest at Colomokee Cemetery.
Pallbearers honoring Teddy's life include Wes Cleveland, Brandon Whitehead, Taylor Bridges, Robert King, Michael Reddick, and Phillip Wilbourn. Honorary pallbearers are Bill Weeks, Lance Carpenter, Dustin Jenkins, and LW Cleveland.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society or the Leukemia Foundation, causes close to Teddy and Teresa's heart.
Arrangements are being handled by Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home. Teddy's legacy of love, hard work, and dedication to family and community will be cherished and remembered by all who knew him.
