Glenn Warnock

Glenn Parkes Warnock, 72, passed away Sunday, July 2, 2023, at his home.
Glenn grew up on Broadway Lake in Anderson, SC. He was the son of the late Glenn Phinis Warnock and the late Bette Parkes Warnock. He attended Sanford Naval Academy High School and later transferred and graduated from T.L. Hanna High School. He married Patricia Copeland in 1979. Glenn and his wife Pat have lived in Belton, SC for the last 39 years. Glenn was an amazing man of service in his 72 years. He was a firefighter beginning his career at Rock Springs Volunteer Fire Department, and later with the City of Anderson Fire Department. He was part of the Hazmat Team and the Rescue Team. His passions and love were his wife Pat of 44 years and their precious dogs. Glenn was an avid enthusiast of antique wooden boats. His pride and joy, the Mar-Be-Glen, was a 28-foot cabin cruiser he built by hand with his father in 1963. Later in life, the Cove Dweller, a 1970, 30-foot Lyman Cruiser Express, became part of his collection along with numerous other small antique boats. When not fighting fires, Glenn kept other families safe and happy on Hartwell Lake as the owner and operator of Voyager Marine. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends and all those whose lives he touched.
He is survived by his wife Pat Warnock; his sister, Marcia Parkes Byars-Warnock of North Charleston, SC; stepbrother, Kelley Seawright (Tina) of Anderson; two sisters-in-law, Leigh Jones of Columbia and Amy Noblitt (Joe) of Townville; two nieces, three nephews and numerous great nieces and great nephews.
A celebration of life will be held Monday, July 10, 2023, at 2:00 PM at McFalls Landing/Broadway Lake Community Center, 1625 Broadway Lake Road, Anderson, SC 29621. Dress is casual.
