Glenn E. Wimmer, 79, of Quakertown, passed away on Thursday, December 25, 2025, in the Intensive Care Unit at St. Luke's Hospital’s Upper Bucks Campus.
Born on August 2, 1946, in Sellersville, he was a son of the late John and Dorothy (Cotter) Wimmer.
A graduate of Pennridge High School’s Class of 1965, Glenn went on to serve in the Army National Guard for eight years.
He held a lengthy career as a District Sales Manager for Nyce Printing Company. After retirement, he started his own business: Vircomm.
Outside of work, he found joy in fishing, golfing, travel, and pinochle.
Glenn was a member of St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church, Perkasie, as well as the Quakertown Masonic Lodge, and the American Legion. Additionally, he served as a board member for Norristown Bell Credit Union, and as the East Coast Ambassador for L Tip International.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother: Ronald Lee Wimmer.
Glenn will be lovingly remembered by his wife of sixty years: Margaret Ann (Hangey) Wimmer, to whom he wed on November 6, 1965; son: Glenn Wimmer, Jr. (Jennifer); daughter: Michelle Gangwer (Barry); and grandchildren: Nicole Clevenger, Richard “Ricky” Clevenger, Jr., Haley Wimmer, and Ryan Wimmer.
Services will be private.
Arrangements are in the care of the C.R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., Quakertown.
