Glenny Murphy Obituary
He was born on August 29, 1955, in Germany to the late Glenny Gelgard Murphy and Mildred Lorraine Murphy.
Glenny proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy. He had a passion for writing and spent many years creating poetry, even publishing books that showcased his work.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Vickie Lane Murphy and Sue Sims.
Glenny is survived by his sister, Candace Privette, and her husband, Clarence, of Elizabethtown, NC; his nephew, Jimmy Murphy, and his wife, Catalina, of Lillington, NC; his nieces, Mildred Lee of Lillington, NC, and Kelly Short and her husband, Chris, of Stedman, NC.
Services are pending, and a military graveside service will be held at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
