Gloria Boire Obituary
MILLBURY – Gloria “Glo” Boire, 89, it is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Gloria Jean (Salois) Boire on Wednesday, October 25th surrounded by her loving family.
Gloria was born on November 16th, 1933 to Delia M. and Anthony Salois. Gloria lived her entire life in Millbury, raising her five children on Elm Court. She leaves four children, Donna M. Fregosi of Hampton, NH, David and Daniel Boire of Millbury, Dennis Boire of Leominster; eight grandchildren, Nicole, Christina, Jennifer, Robert, Madelyn, Joseph, Stephanie and Nathan; six great grandchildren; a brother, Paul Salois and his wife, Sarah and a sister, Lorraine Wahtola and her husband, Bill all of Cape Cod and a sister, Pauline Grenier and her husband, Bob of PA; many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her loving daughter, Diana Boire; a sister Claire and brothers, Ronald and Raymond; a son-in-law, Frank Fregosi; a close friend, Al Nash.
Gloria loved going to Hampton Beach, playing pitch, going on cruises, eating at Wrights Chicken Farm, watching the Red Sox play and making her famous meatballs, clam chowder and potato salad. She retired from the UMASS hospital linen department as a supervisor, she also worked at Ballard Pharmacy, E.D.S and Goretti’s Supermarket. You could always find Glo sitting at her kitchen table with her children and their friends.
The family extends a special thank you to her care takers, Sandy Lynch, Donna Hazeldine and Mary Lavin for all their love and care over the last few months.
Family and friends are invited to remember and celebrate Glo’s life by gathering for a time of visitation on Sunday, Oct. 29th from 1 to 4 p.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street in Millbury.
Her Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, Oct. 30th at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 12 Waters Street in Millbury. Burial will follow in Central Cemetery.
