Gloria "Sue" Davis

Gloria “Sue” Davis, 85, of New Castle passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2026. She was born on January 2, 1941, in New Castle to the late Ollie and Alma Iona (Goldy) Reeves.

Sue was a member of Wilbur Wright Memorial and South Memorial Drive Church of God. She was an avid bowler for nearly 40 years. Sue worked at Ames Department Store and was the co-owner of Brown Road Market. She enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Sue also enjoyed her flowers, gardening and canning.

She is survived by her daughters, Susan Harvey of Arvada, CO and Vickie (Ken) Bray of Springport; daughter-in-law, Tina Davis of New Castle; grandchildren, Steve (Amy) Abshire of Economy, Nikki (Chris) Americanos of Lakewood, CO, Lindsay (Shane Squillace) Abshire of Omaha, NE, Jessica (Bryden Coffey) Davis of Knightstown; great-grandchildren, Stephanie, Macie, Kylie Abshire, Peter and Evi Americanos; brother, Robert “Buddy” (Diana) Reeves of Springport; several nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Orval “Red” Davis, son, Jon Davis, grandson, Charlie Myers and sister-in-law, Rose Branham.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 9, 2026, at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Bob Rust officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery.
