Gloria Duddlesten, resident of Gulfport, MS, passed away on Friday June 29,2023, after a short battle with cancer.
Gloria was born on May 23, 1943, in Brookhaven, MS, to Excel and Carra Smith White. She had a joyful childhood surrounded by her sister Linda Cooper and other cherished family members.
For the last 56 years, Gloria found love and companionship in her marriage to Mike Duddlesten. They built a beautiful family together, raising two children. Gloria was a loving mother to her daughter, Kim Daines (David), and her son, Kevin Duddlesten (Bonnie).
Gloria adored her grandchildren and leaves behind a legacy of love in them; Madison (Curtis) Pierce, Nathan (Jordon) Russell, Kennedy (Gavin O’Brien) Duddlesten, Kaylyn Duddlesten and William and Jay Hooker. Gloria also had joy in being a great-grandmother to Isla Pierce and Eleanor Russell.
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, Excel White and Carra Smith White Hughey; her older sister, Linda Cooper and her stepfather, Bill Hughey. She will be fondly remembered by her extended family.
Gloria’s beloved pets, her dog, Lacy and her cat Jake Blues brought her immeasurable joy and companionship.
Gloria and Mike were a part of the Forest Hill Coast Group, a close-knit group of friends that Gloria loved and thoroughly enjoyed spending time with.
Celebration of life will be held on July 17, 2023, at Riemann Family Funeral Homes in Gulfport, MS, Public visitation will be held from 12PM – 1PM with service to follow.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her honor at American Cancer Society and Humane Society of South Mississippi.

Our beautiful friend Gloria, you will be missed so very much. You were very much a part of our Forest Hill class reunions and we always looked forward to you being there with Mike. Rest in please dear one.
