Gloria Faye Evans, 79, of Calhoun Falls, wife of Arthur W. Evans, passed away on Monday, September 29, 2025, at Self Regional Healthcare in Greenwood. She was born in Abbeville to the late Herbert and Mildred Moss Bonds.
Family was everything to Faye. She poured her heart into her family, enjoying the moments spent together. Her home was a place of warmth and love where memories were made. In addition to her family life, Faye had a passion for singing. She could often be found singing her favorite songs with a smile that could light up the darkest days. In addition to singing, she also had a passion for coloring.
Her faith was a guiding light throughout her life. Faye was a devoted member of the Lowndesville Pentecostal Holiness Church and the Women’s Ministry. Her warm heart and vibrant spirit touched the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Tabitha Evans; five brothers, Tony Bonds, Bobby Wayne Bonds and his wife, Bobbie Mae Bonds, Marion Bonds, Ronnie Bonds and Leland Bonds; and a granddaughter, Janie Summers.
Faye is survived by her husband of 64 years, Arthur; her children, Tonya Brown (Richard) of Calhoun Falls, Tracy Evans of McCormick and her adopted granddaughter, Brittany Jennings of Calhoun Falls; sister, Wanda McKellar of Lowndesville; two sisters-in-law, Dana Bonds and Karen Bonds; twelve grandchildren, Keith, Courtney, T. J., Leslie, Evan, Avery, Summer, Destiny, Matthew, Cody, Briannan and Cole; twenty-four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and her best friend, Donna Bell and two daughters, Keri Hunnicutt and Kona Page.
A celebration of Faye’s life will be 2:00PM, Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Lowndesville Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Scotty Willoughby officiating.
