Ken W. Adcox
Kenneth William Adcox, 80, husband of Elaine Gillespie Adcox, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 24, 2026.
Born in Greenville County, he was the son of the late James William Adcox and Emily Jean Hill Adcox.
Ken was a 1964 graduate of Liberty High School. He retired from The Cline Company after many years of dedicated service. He was a member of Geer Memorial Baptist Church, where he played years of softball and taught RA’s. He was a member of Easley Bass Masters for many years and helped establish Easley Bassing Buddies. He enjoyed fishing, fellowship, and lifelong friendships from each club. He was an avid deer hunter at cherished land in Calhoun Falls.
Nothing brought him more joy than his family. His granddaughters and great-grandchildren were the apples of his eye. He enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves and all things Clemson, proudly passing his love of sports on to his children. Ken was a longtime coach for Easley Little League Football and Baseball, as well as Dixie Youth Baseball. His memory of details of each young man he coached was remarkable. In retirement, his tomato garden became his pride and something he loved sharing with friends and family.
In addition to his wife of 60 years, Elaine, he is survived by his children, Kimberly Adcox Flory (Brian), David Adcox (Tammy), and Brent Adcox (Brett), all of Easley; grandchildren, BreAnn Greer (Logan), Emily Burgess (Chase), Allyson Pomeroy (Jake), Erin Riddle (Justin), Ashley Robinson (Spencer), and Braydon Delgado; great-grandchildren, Rylee, Zane, Ellyson, Scarlet, Smith, Shepherd, Turner, Maverick, David, and Shockley; and a sister, Nancy Adcox Holcombe of Anderson.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 27, 2026, at 1:30 pm at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, with the funeral service to follow at 3:00 pm in the chapel. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Easley.
Special thanks to Ken’s home health team-Jessica, Jordan, Juanita, Angela, and Laura, who he loved as family and enjoyed every visit. Words are inadequate to express our appreciation to Prisma Health Baptist Easley Hospital and Prisma Hospice Care nurses.
Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to Geer Memorial Baptist Church, 911 South 5th Street, Easley, SC 29640.
