Gloria E. Faeth

The funeral service for Gloria Faeth, 83, of Aberdeen, SD, will be 11:00am, Friday, February 9, 2024, at First Baptist Church, Aberdeen, with Pastor Mike Guzman & Pastor Gary Compton officiating. Burial at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Gloria died Friday, February 2, 2024, at Bethesda Home of Aberdeen.
Visitation will be 3:00-7:00pm, Thursday, with family present from 5:00-7:00pm, at Spitzer-Miller Funeral Home, 1111 South Main Street.
Gloria E. Habeck was born August 14, 1940, to Elmer and Iva (Bain) Habeck in Leola, SD. She grew up in Ipswich and graduated from Ipswich High School in 1958.
In August 1958, she married Rodney Dosch and together they made their home in Yakima, Washington and had three children: Curtis, Rhonda, and Lori. In 1964, Gloria married Larry Schnaidt. They made their home on a farm where Gloria was primarily a farm wife. She enjoyed cooking, baking, canning, and gardening. Larry and Gloria had three children: Randall, Reed, and Jody. In 1985, Gloria married Thomas Faeth in Aberdeen, SD. Gloria worked at 3M in Aberdeen for over 18 years before she retired.
Gloria enjoyed entertaining people. She enjoyed time with family and friends drinking coffee and talking on the phone. She was a crafty person and liked to knit and embroider. She was one of three oldest members of First Baptist Church in Aberdeen and was involved with the prayer shawl ministry and many other activities. She was active with VFW Post 17 and Auxiliary and sang with the "RSVP Singers" in nursing homes. Early in life, she was a member of the Cowbells, a 4-H leader, and helped with the ladies aide at St. James Lutheran Church. Gloria was loving and caring. She was a beautiful person and was always welcoming guests.
Grateful for having shared Gloria's life are children: Curtis Dosch (dec), Rhonda (Craig) Munier, Lori (Randy) Misemer, Reed (Patty) Schnaidt, Randall Schnaidt, Jody Schnaidt; step-children: Jean Faeth (John) Bates, Brian (Renata) Faeth, and John Faeth (dec); grandchildren: Damond Baldwin, Kylee Dudley, Karee Bullion (Maria Perez), Michelle Pudwill – Shiels (James Shiels), Denae (Mike) Tordoff, Lance Pudwill, Mallory (Bikal) Neupane, Preston Misemer, Nathan Schnaidt (Lizzie Hinchliffe), Anna Schnaidt, Nicholas Schnaidt, Emily (Kain) Kretzschmar; step-grandchildren: Krista (Nathan) Juhlin, Laura (Andrew) Shields, Cassie Nicolai, Abby Shiafer, Lauren Faeth, Ashley Hanon; great-grandchildren: J'syree Dudley, Caitlin Holst, Carter Holst, Bella Ward, Hudson Ward, Mia Crow, Sydney Eckert, Lillian Tordoff, Kennedy Pudwill, Rio Juhlin, Remy Juhlin, Ashtynn Shields, Ryker Shields, Kahlin Shields, Barrett Shields, Malakai Neupane, Lina Neupane, Eli Schnaidt, and Penelope Kretzschmar; siblings: Gale Simon, Zona Schanzenbach (Steve Gebur), Ervin (Katie) Habeck, Sylvia (Wesley) Stern, and Mary Geditz; many nieces and nephews; and special friend: Lawrence Steltzer.
Preceding Gloria in death are parents Elmer & Iva Habeck; husband: Thomas Faeth; stepfather: Wayne Mcullough; brother: Ivan Habeck; son: Curtis Dosch; stepson: John Faeth; mother-in-law: Clara Faeth; son-in-law: DuWayne Pudwill; brothers-in-law: William 'Joe' Geditz, Mearl Schanzenbach, and Norman Simon.
