Gloria Yvonne Fleming, 73, of Moulton, passed away Sunday, June 22, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 4:00 PM at the funeral home with Brandon Henderson and Bro. Toney Pepper officiating. Burial will be at Jones Chapel Cemetery.
Born on December 17, 1951 to the late Onnie and Frances Hale Terry, Yvonne was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and aunt. She poured her spirit into every role she held. Her faith in Jesus guided her life and everyone who knew her. Yvonne had a gift for creating beauty through her crafts, her kindness, and her loving and unwavering presence. Her home was a safe place of warmth, laughter, and love, and she was the thread that held us all together.
Survivors include her son, Bart Fleming; granddaughters, Emma Fleming, and Iva Fleming; great-granddaughter, Sara Coan; sisters, Vickie Jones, Cindy (Randy) Heflin, and Ginger Johnson; brother, Ray (Judy) Terry; sister-in-law, Barbara Terry; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Yvonne was preceded in death by her husband, Don Fleming; parents; brothers, Roy Terry, Joy Lee Terry, and Ricky Terry; brother-in-law, Leland Jones.
Pallbearers will be Will Newton, Caine Fleming, Cricket Terry, Darrell Terry, Richey Johnson, and Kaleb Thomas. Honorary pallbearers are Steve McLemore, Jordan Hill, and Dr. James Plaxco.
The family extends special thanks to the nurses and staff of Decatur Morgan Home Health Care, and Southern Care New Beacon Hospice.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s's Children's Research Hospital, or to Cancer Research.
