After a long illness, Gloria Jo Hurley of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Friday, January 19th, 2024. Gloria was at home with family at the time of her passing.
Gloria was born on August 23, 1942 to Joe and Violet O'Brien.
She was married to Phillip Paul Hurley on June 25, 1960. She is preceded in death by both of her parents, her husband Phil, brothers Billy O'Brien, Kenny O'Brien and sisters Myrtle Hughey and Jenny Taylor. She has three surviving brothers, George O'Brien, Jerry O'Brien and Bobby O'Brien.
Gloria is survived by all of her children, Anastasia (Larry) Bales, Elizabeth Hurley, David (Sharon) Hurley, Mary Davidson, Michael (Sandra) Hurley, Paula McConnell, Charles (Peggy) Hurley and Tiffany (Patricia) Hurley-Souza.
Gloria was grandma to Jake Kindrick, Phillip Kindrick, Rebeca Hurley, Nickolis Davidson, Amanda Stanley, Timothy Williams-Hurley, Andrew Hurley, Matthew Hurley, Johnathan Hurley, Christina McConnell, Samantha McConnell, Donald McConnell, Joshua McConnell, Zachery McConnell, Anna McConnell, Kyle Hurley, Trent Hurley and Logan Hurley. Gloria was GiGi to 27 great grandchildren.
Gloria was a very loving and caring person who always opened her door for anyone who needed a safe place.
We want to gratefully thank Tiffany Hurley-Souza, Patricia Hurley-Souza and Anna McConnell for all of their love and support over the past few months in caring for "Mom," "Grandma," "GiGi."
A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024 from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 PM at Calvary Cemetery Chapel.
Her funeral mass will follow at 1:00 PM.
Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery where Gloria will be laid to rest with her husband Phillip.
