Mrs. Gloria Sharon James

Gloria Sharon Clayton James daughter of the late Gloria Nancy Carter and Francis Eugene Clayton was born on March 20, 1960. She departed this earth on December 13, 2023 after a battle with a lengthy illness.
Gloria attended Baltimore City Public Schools. She worked numerous Baltimore City Jobs. She worked at Poplar Manor Nursing home as a head cook, Dover Poultry and the Pantry at Cold Spring Elementary. Gloria B.K.A Sharon loved to play her favorite games pinochle and the slot machines in Atlantic City and Delaware. Everyone knew her as "Cabbage Patch". Gloria had a good heart. If you were hungry, she would feed you or take you to a pantry to get food.
In the 80's Gloria fell in love and married Joseph James who preceded her in death. She adapted her brother son, Gary Smith Junior and raised him as her own. She loved him so much.
In 1999 Gloria met her soul mate Keith Pomphey and they were together to the end.
She had seven brothers that proceeded her in death, Christopher, Windsor, Eugene, Frank, Robert, Charles, Gregory, and one sister Shirley.
Gloria Sheran Clayton James leaves to cherish her memory her boyfriend Keith, son Gary Jr., four brothers, Richard, Larry, Ricky and Gary Sr., two sister, Elizabeth and Josephine, two grandkids, Dallas and Nylah, her gambling partner Susan Lewis and a host of other relatives and friends.
