Funeral Service at Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel, Walters, OK, Monday, January 5, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. with interment in the Temple Cemetery, Temple, OK. Viewing at Hart-Wyatt in Temple on Sunday from 2:00-6:00 p.m.

Gloria Jones was born to Santos and Josefa (Trejo) Gaitan on October 28, 1943 in San Antonio, TX and departed this life in Temple, OK on January 2, 2026 at the age of 82 years, 2 months and 5 days.

Gloria grew up in San Antonio, TX, graduating from Emerson High School. She made her home in San Antonio working at Book Binary Company and for Coca Cola. She eventually made her way to Temple, OK and married Robert Theodore Jones on December 29, 1981 at the Cotton County Court House. Through the years she worked at Haggar’s in Lawton, Sands Hotel and the Nutrition Center in Temple. Gloria enjoyed sewing, quilting, and crocheting.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Santos and Josefa Gaitan; her husband, Robert Jones in 1997; 2 brothers, Joe and David Gaitan; and 2 sisters, Mary Gaitan and Olga Engel.

She is survived by her sister, Martha Gaitan of San Antonio; and like a daughter, Audra Oneal of Temple, OK and her kids, Christina Winfree and Kyle, and Casey Jerez and David all of Temple; and other relatives and special friends.
