JEAN KIESTLER
Medon, TN: Gloria Jean Slaughter Kiestler age 76, passed away January 24, 2024 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
She was born March 14, 1947, at Deanburg, the daughter of the late Billy and Ruby Slaughter Slaughter. She went to school at Deanburg and graduated from Chester County High School. She married Roy Edward Kiestler of Cloverport on Nov. 9, 1963. They made their home at Deanburg. She owned and operated Jean’s County Beauty Shop.
She enjoyed walking, camping, cooking, sewing, gardening and canning.
Church and being with her family, was her top priority.
Mrs. Kiestler is survived by a son, Eddie Kiestler (Amanda) of Medon and two grandchildren, Audrey and Carter.
Two sisters, Evelyn Galbraith (Johnny) of Bethel Springs and Joyce Forsythe of Deanburg.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Roy Edward Kiestler, two brothers, Nathan Slaughter and Jessie Slaughter and a sister, JoAnn Slaughter.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Sunday, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – East Main Chapel with Bro. Chad Gibson officiating. Burial will follow at Vernon Cemetery at Cloverport.
The family will receive friends at East Main 12:00 PM until 3:00 PM on Sunday.
