Hyde Park, NY
Gloria Louise Lang,72, of Hyde Park, NY, died on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at home in Hyde Park, NY.
Born on January 17, 1951, in Rhinebeck, NY, she was the daughter of Gordon and Eleanor Boyle Ferris. On June 12, 1971, she married Harry W. "H" Lang, in Staatsburg, NY. Harry died on November 4, 2011.
Prior to retirement Gloria worked for MVP Health Plan as a Marketing Representative for many years. Gloria was a school monitor for the Hyde Park Central School District. Gloria loved working part time as a monitor and being around all the kids.
Gloria was referred to as "Weezy" by her family and close friends. Weezy was the one you could always count on to be there for everyone and anyone. The one thing Gloria truly lived for was her family. She spent every moment she had free with all her family, whether it was rides up to her son's home where she would walk through the gardens with her son and chat the day up with her daughter in law, going to her parents' home on the family Sundays for the traditional sipping on wine snacking laughing and enjoying the moments. Gloria loved spending quality time with her God daughter and great niece. Gloria always enjoyed the invite from her sister to "come on over Weez" have a glass sit and relax, and the trips to her brother's house. Family and friends meant the world to Gloria as Gloria did to them. Gloria had quite the social life, between going out to dinner with "the girls", an afternoon matinee she always managed to stay busy and full of life. what gloria truly cherished most, was the time spent with her Granddaughter. The school pickups, the funny pictures and of course going to the farm to watch her ride horses, the time that she had with her were truly cherished and loved. Gloria will be missed by all and not a day will go by that she is not thought of and smiled upon.
Gloria was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, sister, aunt, and friend. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Gordon and Megan Lang, Red Hook, NY, brother, Vincent Ferris, sisters, Dee Planke and Barbara Berry and loving granddaughter, Elizabeth Lang.
In addition to her parents and beloved husband, Harry W. "H" Lang of 40 years, she is predeceased by a niece Joy Lynn Berry.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Gloria's family respectfully requests memorial donations to the American Cancer Society.

Gloria was an amazing person. What a strong, beautiful soul. We all loved working with her at North Park Elementary. Her loving smile and encouragement to both children and her coworkers was so important to us all. Our hearts are broken and we will miss her greatly.
Sincerely, Gloria's North Park Family
