Gloria Bergeron McDaniel

Gloria Bergeron McDaniel, passed away at her home in Port Allen on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at the age of 93. She was a lifelong resident of Port Allen. Gloria was a homemaker and an extraordinary woman whose quiet strength, deep faith, and unwavering love for her family defined her life. She found her greatest joy in caring for others, which was evident in her devotion to her husband. Her kindness, generosity and steady presence will be remembered by all who were blessed to know her.

Visitation will be at Holy Family Catholic Church on Tuesday, February 3rd, from 9:30 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m., celebrated by Deacon Minos Pineville Jr. Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Cemetery in Brusly.

Gloria is survived by a daughter, Mary Ann McDaniel Hotard; three sons, Michael Joseph McDaniel, Robert Randall McDaniel and wife Jamye, Patrick Edward McDaniel and wife Tracy Brown; eight grandchildren, Amanda McDaniel Wilson and husband Garrick, Melissa McDaniel Young and husband Chris, Cheyenne McDaniel Landry and husband Travis, Joey McDaniel and wife Danielle, Aaron Major and wife Adrienne, Rachel Hotard Baker and husband Charlie, Elizabeth Hotard, Taylor McDaniel and fiancé Alex; 17 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Lorraine Bergeron.

Gloria was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, E. Cliff McDaniel; granddaughter, Alexis McDaniel; parents, Willie and Hester Allain Bergeron; siblings, Shirley Bru, Willie Belle Cazes, Belvin Bergeron, Gerald Bergeron, Gorden "Rev" Bergeron.
