Mitchell Mackie Moore

Mitchell Mackie Moore passed away at his home in Port Allen on Friday, December 19, 2025, at the age of 78. He was a native of Cocodre Bayou. Mitchell was a longshoreman for 30 years who retired from the Port in Port Allen.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 23rd at Wilbert Funeral Home in Port Allen, from 10 a.m. until a religious service at 12 p.m., conducted by Rev. Ernest Twiner. Burial will follow in Melville Pentecostal Church Cemetery in Melville.

Michell is survived by his wife of 53 years, Glenda Boudreaux Moore; two children, Kenneth "Kenny" Moore and wife Amanda Fonville Moore, Tonya Moore Craven and husband James Craven; four grandchildren, Shelby Moore Tisi and husband Anthony, Kaylee Moore, Alex Craven and Olivia Craven; one great-grandchild, Chloe Tisi; brother, Marilon Moore and wife Dell.

Mitchell was preceded in death by his parents, George and Della Bonett Moore; siblings, Mary Louise Moore Hebron, Georgie "Iky" Moore, Bertie Moore Dupree.

Mitchell enjoyed fishing, hunting and eating good cajun food. He was a member of the International Longshoreman Association Local 3033.
