Gloria F. Murrieta, a beloved matriarch, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2025, at the age of 86. Born on October 16, 1938, Gloria's life was a testament to love, humility, and unwavering devotion to her family.
She is survived by her esteemed daughters: Chayito Arreola, Ana Gloria Arreola (Gina), Cecilia Morales (Jesus), Marcela Cruz (Efren), and Lilian Cruz; and her treasured sons: Guillermo Arreola (Anita), Enrique Arreola (Cristina), and Luis Cruz (Dolores). Gloria was a proud and doting grandmother to her 20 grandchildren and to her 40 great-grandchildren, each of whom she cherished deeply. She shared a special bond with her brother, Francisco Murrieta, whose presence in her life was a constant source of support and companionship.
Gloria will be remembered fondly for her humble nature and her loving spirit. She was often regarded as a gentle soul whose greatest joy came from helping others. The holidays were particularly significant to her, filled with laughter, good food, and the warmth of family gatherings.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on July 11, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Martinez Funeral Chapels - Tucson, located at 2580 S 6th Ave, Tucson, AZ 85713. A Rosary will take place the same day at 2:00 PM.
As we celebrate Gloria's remarkable life, let us also honor her legacy of kindness and the profound impact she had on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of her family and friends.
