Carlos Armando Ruiz Sr., a beloved father and grandfather, passed away on August 15, 2025, in Tucson, Arizona, at the age of 79. Born on November 16, 1945, in Hermosillo, Mexico, Carlos made a life full of love and laughter, as he touched the hearts of many who were fortunate enough to know him.

For 20 years, Carlos dedicated himself to his career as a long-haul trucker, embracing the open road with the same passion that he brought to family life. He also was a Radio Personality at various Mexican radio stations. He was a vibrant soul, known for his warm smile, loving nature, and ability to brighten a room with his presence. He treated everyone like family, always eager to partake in family gatherings and celebrations, ensuring that he was a significant part of their lives.

Carlos created many cherished memories throughout his life, particularly those shared with his granddaughters Ariana and Bella. Notably, he embarked on a memorable road trip to California with his granddaughters and son, where they enjoyed the delights of Disneyland and the beautiful beaches. He also took great pride in moving one of his granddaughters to Washington, D.C., to attend Georgetown University, demonstrating his unwavering support for her future.

His love extended deeply to his daughter, Lorraine. They were Known as being inseparable, a father and daughter who were also best friends. They shared countless weekends following their friends in the Mariachi scene, creating beautiful memories that will forever be in everyone's hearts. Their bond was one of joy and mutual appreciation for each other’s company. Carlos was affectionately known in his family as “our family's Uber driver,” a title that exemplified his willingness to help and be there for those he loved.

Carlos had a zest for life that was reflected in his interests and hobbies. He was an avid fan of the LA Dodgers and found immense joy in dancing. He was also known for his sweet tooth, reveling in the little pleasures that life had to offer.

He leaves behind his son, Carlos "Charlie" Ruiz (Denise), and daughter, Lorraine Ruiz, who will forever hold dear the memories they crafted together and the love he consistently shared with them.

Services honoring Carlos will take place on September 4, 2025, at St. Augustin Cathedral in Tucson, Arizona. A Rosary will begin at 9:30 AM, followed by a Mass which will start at 10:00 AM, allowing family and friends to come together to remember and celebrate the remarkable life of this extraordinary man.

Carlos Armando Ruiz Sr. will be greatly missed but will continue to live in the hearts of those he loved and inspired throughout his life.
