It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Gloria Pérez, affectionately known as "Abue" and "Mima," who entered eternal rest on October 22, 2025, at the age of 93. Born in Las Villas, Cuba, Gloria built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and resilience, and later made her home in Lexington, Kentucky.
Gloria was the heart and soul of her family - nurturing, loving, and full of joy. She was a gifted cook and a natural storyteller, always bringing people together through her warmth and her unforgettable meals. Her home was a place of comfort, laughter, and love - a reflection of the beautiful person she was.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Gloria is survived by her three children, nine grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren - each of whom carry cherished memories of her kindness, playfulness, and strength.
A passionate gardener and a helping hand to all, Gloria found true happiness in the company of her family. Every one of us holds a special memory of her that will forever live in our hearts.
A service honoring Gloria's life will be held at 2PM Monday, October 27, 2025, at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. Family and friends are invited to gather, share stories, and celebrate the incredible woman who touched so many lives.
Gloria's legacy of love, strength, and joy will continue to bloom in the hearts of everyone who knew her.
