With great sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Lou Ellen Coleman, who peacefully left us on October 14th, 2025, in her home with all her loved ones surrounding her. She was 69 years old. She was born on February 15th, 1956, in Hazel Green Ky and lived a life full of love, kindness, and selflessness.
Lou was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She dedicated her life to caring for her family and was a pillar of strength to all who knew her. She had a passion for crocheting, taking walks, and spending time with her grandkids and family. Her generosity and warm spirit touched the lives of many.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years Rick Coleman as well as her children Ricky Coleman (Christine) of Georgetown, KY and Kayla Henson of Brandon MS. Grandchildren, McKenzee Holloway, Kaeden Strickland, Savannah Henson, of Brandon, MS, Cheyenne Kiskaden, Caden Bailey, Layla Coleman, and Madilynn Coleman of Georgetown, KY. Sister, Barbara Ratliff of Hazel Green, KY.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Shirley and Maxine Johnson, and her siblings, Patty, Bill, Wayne, and Randall Johnson.
Services will be held on Friday, October 17, 2025, at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home (Main Street location). Visitation will be from 12:00pm-1:00pm with funeral to follow. Her final resting place will be at Lexington Cemetery.
