Gloria Phillips, of
Fort Walton Beach, Florida, went to be with the Lord on January 25, 2026. She was born on June 17, 1934, in
Millerville, Alabama. Gloria was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Her life was marked by deep faith, loving service, and an unwavering devotion to her family, who were the center of her heart and joy. She cherished every moment with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, always offering love, guidance, and encouragement.
Gloria was a faithful member of First Baptist Church, where she was actively involved in Sew Love, Vacation Bible School, the church choir, the homeless ministry, and numerous mission trips. Her compassion for others and dedication to serving her church and community reflected her generous and loving spirit.
She was preceded in death by her son, George Phillips Jr., on May 14, 1975; her daughter-in-law, Debbie Phillips; as well as her parents, two brothers, and two sisters.
Gloria is survived by her children: Steve Phillips and his children, Jared Phillips and his wife, Noelle and her children, Eric Alvarado and Brandon Bell; Kristen Secrest and her husband, Matt, and children, Harper Johnson and Skylar Secrest; her son, Kenny Phillips and his wife, Kim, and their children: Jessica Phillips and her fiancé, Larry Hipsh, and her children, Sofia Phillips and Christian Glenn; Rachel Phillips and her husband, Joshua Schwartzer; and Lydia Phillips and her fiancé, John Kolodzieczyk. She is also survived by other extended family members and many dear friends.
A funeral service will be held on February 4, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church, followed by interment at Beal Memorial Cemetery.
Flowers will be received by the family, or memorial donations may be made to a
charity of your choice.
