Gloria E. Rappeport, of Jacksonville FL, passed away surrounded by her loving family, on Wednesday, July 24, 2024. She was 90. Born and raised in Juana Diaz, Puerto Rico, she lived in New York City before moving to Jacksonville 40 years ago.

Gloria was our Matriarch of the family, she was known as mom, Titi Gloria or grandma. She always had a listening ear, a shoulder to cry on, the best advice and was a great storyteller. Her beautiful smile and great wisdom will be missed by so many.

She was a wonderful cook. She enjoyed dancing, and crossword puzzles. She had endless love for everybody she met. 

She’s predeceased by her husband Alfred Rappeport (d. 2008), her son Jeffrey Rappeport (d. 2021), and her daughter Janet Rodriques (d. 2020).

Surviving are her loving children and spouses, Betty Raimondo of Jacksonville, Susan Lesowitz (Jay) of Jacksonville, Ruthie Parascandolo (Luigi) of Bordentown NJ, Jerry Rappeport of Tampa, Rozy Martinez (Javier) of Jacksonville, Letty Almedina of Long Island, and her daughter-in-law Frieda Rappeport of Monmouth Jct. Also surviving are 20 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 5th, 11:00 am, at The Crabiel Home for Funerals, 170 North Main St.-at Riva Avenue, Milltown. Burial will follow at Floral Park Cemetery in South Brunswick. You may sign the online condolence “guestbook” at www.crabiel.com
