Gloria "Red" Mohan Reott, 97, of Butler, passed away Tuesday Aug.27, 2024, peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family.
Born June 18, 1927, in Fenelton, she was a daughter of Arthur and Marie Silk Shuler.
She was a member of All Saints Parish, St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Butler.
Gloria retired after 27 years of employment at the rectory of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church.
She enjoyed dancing, baking, ceramics, sewing, playing cards, traveling, and spending time with her family. She especially loved serving people her famous homemade bread, rolls, and noodles.
She is survived by four daughters; Shirley (Frank) Angert, of Chicora, Nancy (Larry) Ratcliff, of Slippery Rock, Donna (Larry) Johns, of Jacksonville, Fla., and Janet McIntire, of Jacksonville, Fla.; one son, Leo David (Lou Ann) Mohan, of Butler; three stepsons; Chuck Reott, of Butler, Gary (Brenda) Reott, of Butler, and Jeffrey Reott, of Butler; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren, with another great-great grandchild on the way; nine step-grandchildren, and nine step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Gloria was preceded in death by her husbands, Leo J. Mohan, whom she married Nov. 4, 1948, and who passed away July 22, 1975, and Edward Reott, whom she married June 17, 1988, and who passed away July 26, 2011; three sisters, Evelyn MacDonald, Colista Weber, and Shirley VanScoy; five brothers, Leroy Shuler, Regis Shuler, Kenneth Shuler, Clyde Shuler, and Carl Shuler; and three grandsons, Patrick Angert, Leo Richard Ratcliff, and Bobby McIntire.
Friends will be received in the Martin Funeral Home, 429 Center Ave., Butler, on Friday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 a.m. at All Saints Parish, St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 127 Franklin St., Butler, with Rev. Kevin C. Fazio officiating.
Burial will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery, Herman.
