Obituary
Gloria Singleton, 67, of Dale, South Carolina, passed away Friday, March 3, 2023, at Beaufort Memorial Hospital. Arrangements are entrusted to Allen Funeral Home. We welcome you to provide your thoughts and memories on our tribute wall.
A visitation for Gloria Singleton will be Saturday, March 11, 2023, from 5 PM to 7 PM at Allen Funeral Home in Beaufort, SC (1508 Duke Street). The funeral service will be Sunday, March 12, 2023, at 2 o'clock in the afternoon at Allen Funeral Home in Ridgeland.
Gloria Francis Singleton better known as Ms. Wally was born August 31, 1955, in Beaufort, SC to the late Deacon Frank "Red" and Patricia "Pearl" Barnwell.
Gloria was preceded in death by her husband Leroy Singleton, her daughter Alexandria Whitney Warner, her brother Tony Barnwell and her aunt and best friend Cherry Dell Powell.
Gloria leaves to cherish her memories of her fiancé Alton Warner. Her two sons Leroy Barnwell of El Paso, TX, and Todd Singleton of Atlanta, GA, and two daughters Mia'Carla (Tavares) Hobdy of Beaufort, SC, and Kenya Warner of Newport News, VA. One sister Janice Faye Mulligan of Beaufort, SC, and four brothers Jerry (Helen) Knighton of Hilton Head, SC Frank Barnwell of Colorado Springs, CO Stanley Barnwell of Atlanta, GA and Johnny "Cheetah" Barnwell of Beaufort, SC. Uncles Edward Knighton, Melvin Knighton, Benjamin Knighton, Aunties Sally Carr, Laura Ketter, and Rose Lewis. Brother-in-law Henry Singleton and Sister in laws Freda Doctor and Janie Thornton. 17 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and her close dear friend and cousin Helen Bryant A host of nephews and nieces
