Gloria Sveen, passed away on Monday, February 10, 2025.
Gloria married the love of her life, Clarence Sveen, on November 28, 1958, in Winona, MN. A devoted member of Central Lutheran Church, Gloria found strength and community in her faith. She was known for her quick wit and humorous spirit—always ready with a delightful joke to brighten someone’s day. Gloria was particularly passionate about family, and nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her cherished grandchildren. Whether it was sharing stories, playing games, or simply enjoying their company, these moments were truly the highlight of her life. She also loved challenging herself with crossword puzzles, a hobby that kept her sharp and smiling.
Gloria is survived by her children, Peggy (David) Eide, Todd Sveen, Brian Sveen, Lynn (John) Shanrock, Carla (Michael) Blood, and April (Jason) Pagenkopf; grandchildren, Jeremy (Ashley) Sveen, Stephanie Sveen, Corey Sveen, Carrie (Chris) Palmer, Derek (Dan) Winters Sveen, Jacob (Mikaya) Sveen, Tyler Sveen, Amber Sveen, Jordan Blood, Brittany Blood, Hannah Blood, Taylor Pagenkopf, and Katie Pagenkopf; great grandchildren, Gavin Stephens, Ona Palmer, Emiliee Palmer, Laila Blood, Emery Foster, and Waylon Foster; and siblings, Barb (Rodger), Sandy, Steve (Tracy), Jim (Darla), Karen (Craig), and Lori.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Sveen; her parents; her brother, David (Georgia).
A Celebration of Gloria's life will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, February 14, 2025 at Central Lutheran Church. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m., until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
